Background

Ranck, Henry Haverstick was born on July 24, 1868 in near Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Jacob Eby and Martha Bausman (Haverstick) Ranck.

Education

Bachelor of Arts, Franklin and Marshall College, 1892 (Doctor of Divinity, 1916). Studied Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary, 1892-1893. Graduate Theological Seminary Reformed Church in the United States, 1895.

Career

Ordained to the ministry of the Reformed Church in the United States, 1896. Pastor St. Paul’s Church, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, 1896-1899, St. John’s Church, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, 1899-1901, St. Andrew’s Church, Reading, Pennsylvania, 1901-1914, Grace Evangelical and Reformed Churches, Washington, District of Columbia, 1914-1939, now pastor emeritus.
