In charge of optical laboratory, Corning Glass Works 1911-1947. Retired since 1947; assisted in development of railway signal lenses and of signal apparatus, colored glass for railway and for scientific uses, “Conaphore” front glasses for automobile headlamps, and a new type of condenser for motion picture projection, also “Daylite” glass for color identification and reading lamps. With J. C. Mock (Medical Corps Railroad) and Doctor K. South. Gibson (National Bureau Standards) prepared revised specification for colored signal glass for Association American R.Rs.
