In practice in Louisville after 1912, a member in successive periods of the firms of Gray & Wischmeyer; Nevin, Wischmeyer & Morgan; and Wischmeyer, Arrasmith & Elswick. About 1912 opened an office in Louisville for architectural practice. Continuing active through ensuing years he designed (independently or with associates) various types of buildings in Louisville, such as the Scottish Rite Temple, the Chemical State Bank, Greyhound Bus Terminal, the First Presbyterian Church and many residences for well-to-do clients. In addition he was co-architect of the Paducah (Ky.) and the Harrodsburg High Schools, built about 1931
