Judge 8th judicial District Wisconsin, 1867-1877. Congressman, 1877-1883. Member Wisconsin legislature, 1887-1888.
Author of “The Blue and the Grey”. Married Jane A. Cross 1855, (died 1880). Married second, Elvira Doty Door, October 1881.
