Hideo Katagiri graduated from Kyoto University in 1922.
Career
After graduating from Kyoto University stayed behind as assistant professor, then professor before he was sent to Europe for further studies. When Hideo Katagiri returned home, he rejoined his alma mater, was conferred a doctorate, and invited to become a member of Japan Academy of Art (1950).
