Shin Kubota is a Japanese biologist and scientist. He is an associate professor of Department of Biological Sciences at Kyoto University.

Background

Kubota was born on November 17, 1952 in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan; the son of Hiroshi and Kumiko Kubota.

Education

Kubota earned his Doctor of Science degree from Hokkaido University in 1981.

Career

Kubota began his career as an assistant professor at Hokkaido University in 1982. Seven years later he took a position of a lecturer at the same university. Since 1992 he has been an associate professor of Department of Biological Sciences at Kyoto University.

Membership

Kubota is a President of Scarlet Medusa Club, member of Hydrozoan Society and Japan Zoological Society.
