Career
After graduating from Tokyo University, specialized in Eastern history to become one of the two authorities on the subject, the other being Dr. Sokichi Tsuda. Was conferred a doctorate, Litt. D, was an emeritus professor of Tokyo University. Among his works are "Research in Manchurian History," "The Culture of Korea" and "A New Insight into the Mongolian Invasion of Japan."
