Hisakichi Maeda became representative director of the newly established Nihon Kdgyo Shimbun (Japan Industrial Newspaper) (1939). Hisakichi Maeda became representative director of Osaka Shimbun (Newspaper) Company (1942). Continued as representative director after Nihon Kdgyo Shimbun was renamed Sangyd Keizai Shimbun (1942). Resigned as representative director of Osaka Shimbun and Sangyd Keizai Shimbun (1946) and became representative director of Osaka Jiji Shimbim (Newspaper) Company (1946). Purged and resigned from the company (1947). Upon being depurged assumed his present posts as president of Sangyd Keizai Shimbun and Osaka Shimbun companies (1950). Holds various additional posts including that of president of Sankei Kaikan Building Company.
