Career
Hitoshi Iki was a retainer of the Kiyosue clan of Choshu (Yamaguchi Prefecture) during tke late Edo and early Meiji Eras. Was an ardent loyalist and took active part in national affairs apart from assisting his clan lord in various administrative matters, specially in defending the frontiers of the clan’s territory.
