Sellers, Horace Wells was born on July 21, 1857 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Coleman and Cornelia (Wells) Sellers.

Graduate Eastburn Academy, Philadelphia, 1873. Bachelor of Science, University of Pennsylvania, 1877.

Career

Entered the office of Joseph M. Wilson (fellow American International Assurance), then engineer bridges and buildings, Pennsylvania R.R., 1877, and with Wilson Brothers & Company, engrs. and architects. Engaged on architectural engineering and executive details connected with railroad, electric light and other developments and machine works, 1882-1892. Associated after 1892 with late Coleman Sellers who was president and chief engineer Niagara Falls Power Company, and in his general practice as consulting engineer, at same time conducting individual architectural practice.
