ホロ 田川
Tagawa studied haiku under Michihiko.
Tagawa was a retainer of the Higo Clan (Kumamoto Prefecture), he served in his lord's residence in Tokyo. He left the clan in 1797 and became one of the three greatest haiku composers of the Tempo Era (1830-1843), the others being Baishitsu and Sokyu. His works were collected in Haro Hokkushu.
