Howard Spector earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1969 from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography in 1978 from the Visual Studies Workshop (of the State University of New York) at Rochester.
Career
Howard Spector has been director of the Light Factory, Inc., in Charlotte, North Carolina, since 1978 and previously taught photography at the Rochester Museum and Science Center (1978), the Watford College Art Department in Watford, England (1977), and at VSW in Rochester (1976).
Howard Spector worked at The Photographers' Gallery in London, England, in 1976-1977 and coordinated traveling exhibitions for the VSW Gallery from 1974 to 1976.
