Engaged in invention and development of teletype since 1906. Construction engineering Teletype Corporation, manufacturers printing telegraph equipment, Chicago. Received Distinguished Service Award from Alumni Association of Armour Institute Technology.

John Price Wetherill medal, Franklin Institute. Special award as “modern pioneer,” National Association Manufacturers Trustee Armour Institute Technology.
