Gen. Chan Hsi-chien graduated from the Japanese Military Officers' College at Tokyo.
Career
Chang Hsi-chien entered army service after return to China. He served as Chief-of-Staff to 24th Army of Nationalist Revolutionary Forces in 1927. Mr. Chang was appointed Director of the Bureau of Ceremonies of the National Government in 1928, which post he had since retained.
