Education
Left Literature Department of Waseda University without graduating (1915).
Career
Entered Shinkokugeki (The New People’s Dramatic Company) and worked on its management staff. Appointed trustee of Shin- kokugeki (1946) and thereafter became director of Toho Motion Picture Company (1947) . Retired after Toho labor dispute, but later returned to Toho as advisor (September, 1950) and subsequently was appointed to present post.
