Career
The assassin of Toru Hoshi noted Meiji Era statesman. Eighth son of Gumbe Iba, a Shogunate swordsman. Maintained a private school called Bunyukan and later became director of the Tokyo Agricultural School. In 1901, he assassinated Hoshi and was sentenced to life imprisonment. Died of illness in Kosuge Prison in Tokyo.
