Career
Ichiro Oka entered Asahi Shimbun and became chief of Make-up Department of the Seibu (Western Japan) Head Office and member of editorial staff (1942), chief of Make-up department of Tokyo Head Office (1945), vice-chief of Editorial Office (1946). Chief of Editorial Office of Seibu Branch Office (1952) and chief of Editorial Office of Osaka Head Office (1954) and the same year became president of Chubu (Central Japan) Branch Office of Asahi Shimbun (newspaper).
