Studied at the M.Guzhavin Art Studio, Poltava, 1922-1924, then in the Graphics Department of the Leningrad Artistic-Industrial College, 1924 -27, and later at the VKHUTEIN, Leningrad, 1927-1931, under V.Savitskii, V.Belianin and A.Rylov.
