Berge, Irenee was born on February 1, 1870 in Paris, France. Son of Paul and Pierrette (Artigues) Berge.

Education

Conservatories Toulouse and Paris. Pupil of Dubois and Massenet. First prize piano, harmony, composition.

Grand Prix d’honneur presented by the ministre des Beaux-Arts, Paris.

Career

Came to America, 1902. Conductor with Fred Whitney and Henry W. Savage, 1909. Author: Premiere Leçon (comic opera).
