Irina Aleksandrovna Melentyeva graduated from the architectural faculty of the Leningrad Institute of Civil Engineering (now Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering) (1941).
Career
Irina Aleksandrovna worked as an engineer-architect in the city of Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan, Russian Federation (1942-1946), a chief architect of Vitebsk (1947-1949), a deputy chief architect of Minsk (1949-1951), a senior architect of the department of expertise at the Council of Ministers of the Belarusian SSR (1951-1952), a senior architect of the regional department of architecture at the Voronezh Regional Executive Committee (1952-1955), a senior, chief architect of projects, a head of the architectural groups of "Voronezh Oblproyekt" and "Voronezhgrazhdanproyekt" (1955-1971). She is an author of numerous projects of buildings in Voronezh. She led the development of the city overall plan (1970). Since 1971 Irina Aleksandrovna lived in Leningrad (Saint Petersburg).
