In 2011, Relevant Magazine named him one of North America"s foremost leaders in modern worship music He is a graduate of Covenant College. Wardell founded Bifrost Arts in 2008 "to enrich the Church and engage the world with beauty and truth through music beautiful enough that non-Christians are attracted to lieutenant".
