Educated Central High School, Philadelphia. Bachelor of Laws cum laude, Columbia, 1880. Doctor of Laws, Bates College, 1902.

Career

Founded and was lecturer, 1882-1883, School of Political Science, Columbia. Instructor Columbia Law School, 1884-1886. Took up practice of R.R. law and engaged in R.R. service as counsel and director in the lines now constituting the Southern Railway.

For a time foreign representative of the Philadelphia & Reading R.R. President Electric Boat Company, Holland Torpedo Boat Company, Electric Launch Company, Industrial Oxygen Company, National Torpedo Company, Car Lighting & Power Company, Consolidated Railway Electric Lighting & Equipment Company, Lindstrom Brake Company, Railway & Stationary Refrigerating Company, The Forum Public Company, Continental Development Company, New Jersey Development Company, Quaker City Chemical Company.
