Opportunities to get a higher education had not been due to the serious financial situation of the family. Some time Uritsky worked at a local factory, then, come June 22, 1941 th, and the old life was over.
Isaac began his military career from his post as a machine gunner. Training in his platoon was not suitable anywhere - he did not even had a chance to never shoot a seemingly, lying on the status of a machine gun "Maxim". A month later the platoon came together to send to the front; Uritsky, however, detained - along with all the same age. After a while a guy coughtch dysentery, he was sent to Tbilisi, to be treated. Back from the hospital in his platoon Isaac failed, but local authorities quickly found him a new place. Uritsky with a group of friends was sent to Yerevan, and then - in the village Magub. There Isaac taught artillery case, in particular - use sorokapyatimillimetrovoy gun.
He served in the heavily Armenian, the main problem was a wild hunger.
Heavy appendicitis caused Isaac to leave the treated part and go to Yerevan, unfortunately, after the operation, soldiers tried to send back. Uritsky displayed firmness and was able to convince the chief to enroll him in the hospital recovering battalion. However, this turned out to be the way to a dead end - a battalion served for the replenishment of parts of the Caucasus, and there is no war was expected.
Yet in the end Uritsky lucky - he was offered a place in the tank school in Baku, . Trained to work with 'Shermans' and 'M-3L', Isaac was promoted to sergeant ... and was left in the school as an instructor. Appealed against this decision, the soldiers knocked a pass to the front. Waiting until the next order, Uritsky - at the end of the second year of service in the Red Army - went to the line of hostilities.
Fighting with the Germans were quite sluggish - almost did not move the front, where the most trouble were Bandera. Only in January of 1945 the situation has changed - was ordered to attack.
In August Uritsky hit a guerrilla mine, it cost him his left hand.
Returning to the citizen, Isaac Izrailevich graduated from training, having received higher education at the local Teachers, graduating in 1953, he settled on a specialty. Uritsky engaged in teaching until retirement.
