Education
At an early age Isai Usuda showed interest in learning. When he grew up he gave up his rights to the ancestral fief and set forth for Harima then for Kyoto in search of learning. In spite of poverty Usuda managed to educate himself by working his way through. His upright and firm character won him many friends and he was admired by celebrities as Raisai Fuji and Tekisai Nakamura.
