Career
After attending the opera school attached to the Imperial Theatre, Ishii Baku founded a dance research institute together with Kosaku Yamada (1913). Later spent four years in Europe and America studying dance (1921-1925). Returning home introduced many new dances and taught them. Was an influential figure in dance circles.
