Ishikawa Komei studied wood carving under Ishikawa, his kinsman, and painting from Sosen Kano.
Career
Ishikawa Komei become a professor at Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts (1893), and then artist to the Imperial Court. Was judge of the sculptors exhibitions of the Ministry of Education.
