Ishikawa Masashi graduated from Tokyo University (1917).
Ishikawa Masashi taught first as instructor and then as assistant professor at same university and thereafter studied at Stanford University in the U.S. as overseas research student of Education Ministry. After returning to Japan was appointed professor of Tokyo University, holds additional post as director of Fisheries Experiment Station attached to Tokyo University. Noted for his researches on culture of marine animals especially crustacea.
