Nagy graduated at Eötvös Loránd University (Eötvös Loránd University), at the Faculty of Law in Budapest, in 2003, where he also earned a Doctor of Philosophy. He received master (Master of Laws) and South.J.D degree in the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest.
Juris is an associate professor in Hungary, the head of the Department of Private International Law at the University of Szeged, Faculty of Law, in Szeged, in Hungary, the leader of the Federal Markets “Momentum” Research Group at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and an attorney-at-law admitted to the Budapest Bar. Furthermore, he is visiting professor at the Sapientia University of Transylvania and at the Riga Graduate School of Law. He pursued graduate and postgraduate studies in Rotterdam, Heidelberg and New New York
Nagy became the head of the Department of Private International Law at the University of Szeged in 2011.
He became a visiting professor at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania in 2013 and at the Riga Graduate School of Law in 2014. He was admitted to the Budapest Bar in 2008.
He had visiting appointments in the Hague (Asser Institute), Munich (Max Planck Institute), Hamburg (Max Planck Institute), Edinburgh (University of Edinburgh) and London (British Institute of International and Comparative Law) and was visiting faculty, among others, at CEU Business School, the Corvinus University of Budapest, the International Business School, Budapest and at the Masarykova University, Brno He was Eurojus legal adviser in the European Commission’s Representation in Hungary. In the frame of this, he founded the “Federal Markets” Research Group in the HAS Center for Social Sciences.
During his studies he became a member of Eötvös Loránd University István Bibó College of Law and Political Sciences.
