Yuri Sergeevich began his labor activity in 1973 as a fitter at the Specialized Administration No. 7 of the Soyuzmontazhgaz trust. In 1975, after taking active service in the army, he entered the Moscow Machine-Building Production Enterprise "Salyut" as a mechanic of mechanic-assembly works. In 1976 he graduated from the Bauman Moscow Higher Technical University with a degree in turbine construction.
In 1977 Yuri Sergeevich was appointed the as the senior master of the production group. Further stages of his workshop were: deputy chief of the shop (1979-1981), head of several shops (1981-1988), deputy chief engineer for mechanization and automation of production, introduction of new technology (1988-1994), technical director (1994-1996), director (1996-1997).
In December 1997, by order of the Minister of Economy, Yuri Sergeevich was appointed as General Director of the Moscow Machine-Building Production Enterprise "Salyut", one of the largest machine building enterprises in Russia.
In 2001 Yuri Sergeevich Eliseev defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. He is the author and co-author of more than 130 scientific and technical publications and inventions, including a number of books and publications on aviation technology and production organization.
Yuri Sergeevich is the head of the Institute for Targeted Training of Engineers - a division of the Russian State Technological University and head of the department "Technology of aircraft engine production."
Yuri Sergeevich is a corresponding member of the Russian Engineering Academy, a member of the board of ASSAD, a member of the editorial board and the editorial board of a number of scientific and technical journals.
Yuri Sergeevich reads a lot, including technical literature. He is fond of pop music, football, hunting, traveling. Lives and works in Moscow.
