Itaro Umeda graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department of Tokyo University (1925).
Career
Itaro Umeda served at Fuji Electric Machinery Manufacturing Company and then as professor of Tokushima Higher Technical School and chief of Technical Department of Tokyo Kiki Kogyo Kaisha (Tokyo Machinery & Tools Manufacturing Industry Company), director of the same company and director of Oki Electric Machinery Manufacturing Company (1946). After the above company was renamed into Oki Electric Industry Company, Umeda became its managing director (since 1949).
