Itaru Yonehara attended First Higher School; was dismissed from that school for participating in leftist movement.
After the war served as chief of Political Division of Communist organ Akahata. Returned to his native place where he figured as chairman of Tottori Prefectural Branch and member of Chugoku District Committee of Communist Party. He was elected once to House of Representatives.
