German pow during World War 1. 1918 returned to Russia and worked as Soviet trade agent in Switzerland. Then worked for publ house of People's Commissariat of Workers and Peasants’ Inspection.
Worked for various journals and theatrical organizations. Veteran correspondent of “Pravda”.
