Ivan Alekseevich Khrushchov was born on August 7, 1774, in Moscow City, Russian Federation. He was the son of Alexei Ivanovich Khrushchov.
Ivan Alekseevich entered the service in 1784 in the Life Guards Preobrazhensky Regiment. He served in the Elizavetgrad Horse-Regiment (1794) and Moscow Dragoon (1796) Regiment. Ivan Alekseevich commanded a cavalry brigade at the 18th Infantry Division (1807).
Ivan Alekseevich participated in the Polish campaigns of 1792-1794, and in the capture of T. Kosciuszko. He took part in the Suvorov campaigns of 1799-1800, the wars against Napoleon in 1805-1809, the Russian-Turkish campaign of 1806-1812, the Patriotic War of 1812, and the foreign campaigns of 1813-1814.
In 1812 Ivan Alekseevich commanded the 16th brigade of the 5th cavalry division. In 1814 he was appointed commander of the 1st Brigade of the 1st Horse-Ranger Division, in 1816-1817 the head of the 1st Horse-Ranger Division. Since 1818 - retired.
