Ivan Avksentyevich Ilyinsky was born in 1850, in Voronezh, Russian Federation. He was the son of a priest.
Ivan Avksentyevich was the author of the collection of poems "The First Chords" (Voronezh, 1880), compiler of an ABC book for the simplified teaching of literacy and explanations to soldiers (Borisoglebsk, 1911). He participated in performances of the Borisoglebsky Folk House, wrote plays: "Railway Hare" (1905), "Love Nest" and others, was fond of woodcarving, playing various musical instruments.
