Ivan Sergeevich Georgievsky was born in 1791 in Russian Federation.
From 1802, Ivan Sergeevich studied at the Tver theological Seminary, but did not complete the full course; after success, he was accepted to the Leningrad Pedagogical Institute (now The Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia) (1810-1815). As a student, he independently studied Italian and wrote poems in Latin.
In an effort to change the climate that is harmful to him, Ivan Sergeevich accepts an appointment as a teacher in the steppe Uralsk, where loneliness and tiresome routine service have completely upset his health, which has been undermined by excessive classes. In 1817, thanks to Engelhardt's assistance, he received a position as a teacher at the Tsarekoe Selo Lyceum.
