Career
Jack Kerley spent over twenty years as an advertising writer before becoming a novelist. He prefers writing novels, as it’s taken him from about three deadlines a day to one a year.
Jack quit his job to write a novel, earning an income by freelancing while he spent three years completing his first book. This initial attempt was rejected by every publisher he tried, but Kerley did not give up. Writing off the novel as a learning experience, he began a detective thriller that was accepted by Dutton and published as “The Hundredth Man” in 2004.
Kerley also wrote “The Death Collectors” that was published in 2005, "A Garden of Vipers" that came out in 2006, "Blood Brother" in 2008, "In the Blood" in 2009, "Little Girls Lost" in 2010, "Buried Alive" in 2010, "Her Last Scream" in 2011, "The Killing Game" and "The Death Box" in 2013, "The Memory Killer" and "The Apostle" in 2014, "The Death File" in 2017.
Currently, Jack Kerley lives and works in Newport, Kentucky.
