Background

James Delle was born on April 17, 1964, in Massachusetts, United States.

Education

James received a bachelor’s degree in history from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts, a master’s degree in anthropology from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Massachusetts.

Career

James Delle began his career at Kutztown University, Pennsylvania in 2002, where he served for 12 years and earned the rank of full professor. During his last six years at Kutztown, Delle was the department chair of the Anthropology and Sociology department. He then served as the associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and acting associate provost at Shippensburg University.

In 2018 Delle was appointed as the associate provost for academic administration at Millersville University. This position oversees the McNairy Library and Learning Forum, the Office of Learning Services, Global Education, the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Administration, the Center for Academic Excellence, the General Education program, the First Year Experience program and the Multidisciplinary Studies major.

Achievements
