Member of the firm of Miller & Pflueger from 1910 to 1917, and again between 1920 and 1937. In association with Timothy L. Pflueger he was identified with the design of several outstanding business structures in San Francisco among which should be cited the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Bulding, 1927; Stock Exchange, 1929, and the 28-story Office Building, rour Fifty Sutter Street, completed in 1929, the firm's most important achievement In addition the firm planned a number of schools (San Francisco, 1929); Paramout Theatre, Oakland, 1932, several apartment houses and many private homes in the Bay area.

Elected to the old San Francisco Chapter, A.I.A. in 1916, Mr. Miller was Secretary for a number of years and continued a member of the Northern California Chapter until the time of his death.
