Senior Assistant to the Professor of Pathology, and Lecturer in Bacteriological Pathology, University of Edinburgh, 1901-1907. Assistant Pathologist, Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh, 1902-1905. Professor of Pathology and Dean of Medical Faculty, University of Sheffield, since 1907.

Honourable Pathologist Sheffield Royal Infirmary and Sheffield Royal Hospital. New Zealand.
