Circuit rider, 1903-1906. Ordained ministry Methodist Episcopal Church, South, 1906. Pastor successively Dumas, Channing Dalhart, Snyder, St. Paul’s Church, Abilene, Texas, until 1916.

President Stamford (Texas) College, 1916-1918. Again pastor St. Paul’s Church, 1918-1921. Founder, and president McMurry College, Abilene, since 1921.
