Piat studied at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique (CNSAD).
Career
Piat joined the Comédie-Française on September 1, 1947, and became a sociétaire on January 1, 1953, performing in the company’s classical and modern repertoire. Piat remained with the institution until December 31, 1972, after which Piat was named an honorary member, continuing a long association with one of France’s leading theatrical institutions.
