Jen Stark was born in 1983 in Miami, Florida.
Jen Stark studied art at the Center for Art and Culture in Aix-en-Provence, France in 2004.
A year later, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fibers, Minor in Animation.
Although Jen Stark started her career in the early 2000s, her mesmerized artworks have been exhibited across the United States and worldwide, including the shows in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Thailand.
She has also created works especially for various public art installations which can be seen in different areas of California, New York, and Florida states. The recent projects in the field include a 2016 mural ‘Drip Down’ for Hard Rock Stadium, Ft. Lauderdale, and a 2017 mural and installation ‘Ooze’, for McDermott Will & Emery in Miami.
Stark has also tried herself as an educator lecturing in Chapman University, Orange, Southern California Institute of Architecture, and in Chapel of Sacred Mirrors gallery in Wappingers Falls.
Nowadays, Jen Stark lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
Jen Stark is an accomplished artist and sculptor whose hypnotic plane and three-dimensional artworks are recognized by the art community and popular with the audience.
Stark’s approach is often compared with the art of Yayoi Kusama, Sol Lewitt, Tara Donovan, Tom Friedman, Andy Goldsworthy, Ernst Haeckel.
Her minimal creations featuring fantastical geometry of bright colors are acquired by many notable galleries and museums, including Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami, Florida, the West Collection in Oaks, Pennsylvania, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and the Microsoft Art Collection in Redmond, Washington.
Jen Stark has been a recipient of Artist Enhancement Grant through the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and the South Florida Cultural Consortium's Visual and Media Artists Fellowship. In 2008, she won the MOCA North Miami Optic Nerve 10th annual film festival.
