Jennifer Murphy

Background

Murphy grew up in Rogue River, southern Oregon, with her eleven siblings (she is the second oldest among her five sisters and six brothers).

Education

She was partially home schooled but also attended Seton High School, from which she graduated in 1996.

Career

She represented Oregon at the Mission United States of America 2004 pageant held in April 2004 in the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. Jennifer began working full-time at seventeen, while also completing courses in business and marketing at Rogue Community College and Southern Oregon University. She has continued to work in the advertising, sales and marketing industry for the past ten years.

Most of her early working career was spent with Yellow Pages.

At age 21 she purchased her first house. At 23 she became co-owner of a real estate company "Jenco" and pursued the development of subdivision construction and sales.

Murphy appeared on the fourth season of Murphy was "fired" in week 6, along with three others, for being involved in one of the worst defeats in the show"s history. After considering two different positions, one in Real Estate and one with The Mission Universe Organization, she declined and instead moved to Los Angeles to pursue entertainment.

The pageant is part of the Mission Universe Organization which is owned by Trump.

In the New York Times, Trump referred to Jennifer Murphy as "One of the most beautiful women I have ever seen."

After appearing on in New York, she moved to Los Angeles, California and successfully pursued a career in entertainment. Murphy appeared in her first feature film Killer Movie, which was released in February 2009, playing the role of Mistress Falls, the cheerleading coach, and has also appeared on Computer Society of India, Access Hollywood, 20/20, Fox, Fox Reality, American Broadcasting Company, Cable News Network, and HNN.

Machado also hails from Murphy"s hometown Medford.

She"s also been a judge for a Mission Washington, the Mission Oregon 2009 and the Mission Malibu 2010 pageants.

Murphy married Bill Dorfman, a dentist from American Broadcasting Company"s reality show Extreme Makeover, on July 7, 2006. She filed for divorce on July 9, 2007 after one year of marriage.

Achievements

• Murphy won the Mission Oregon United States of America title in late 2003, having previously competed in the Mission Oregon system for Mission America. Murphy placed in the top 10 in the pageant, which was won by Shandi Finnessey of Missouri, only the second placement by a delegate from Oregon in over ten years. She became the Phone Directories Company"s youngest international advertising manager at age 23, and won the "Manager of the Year Award". The following day, Trump called Murphy and made an offer to hire her even though she didn"t win the title of "". Murphy first spoke to Trump about the possibility of appearing on his show when she was competing at the Mission United States of America pageant. Murphy has remained involved in pageants, hosting the Mission Oregon United States of America 2006 pageant won by Allison Machado and judging the Mission South Carolina Teen United States of America 2006 pageant.
