Mr. Cady first worked in Cincinnati with James W. McLaughlin during the early 1880s; Cady maintained the office while McLaughlin was in Europe. Cady, with two other alumni of the McLaughlin office, A.O. Elzner and Frank W. Handy, opened an office in Chicago in 1887-1888. Although Elzner returned to Cincinnati for a long career, Handy and Cady continued to practice there until at least 1910.
