He graduated from Moscow Architectural Institute in 1967. In 1997 he became Professor.
He was a senior (1961-1967), chief (1974-1987) architect of the department, head of the architectural and engineering department No. 2 (1980-1987), chief architect (1987-2002) of the Institute "Voronezhproekt".
At the meantime, he was an associate professor of the Department of Agricultural Architecture of the Voronezh Agricultural Institute (1973-1984), the Department of Architectural Design and Urban Development (1983-1992), Associate Professor, Professor of Architectural and Composition Theory (since 1992) of Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
Since 2002 he has been the head of the personal creative department. He was repeatedly elected member of the board of Voronezh organization of the Union of Architects.
In 1984-1988, he was the Chairman of the Board of the Voronezh branch of the Union of Architects.
In 1986-1998, he was the Head of the Council of Chairmen of the Board of the Union of Architects of the Central Black Earth Region. In 1994-2003, he was the Head of the regional center of the Central Black Earth region for licensing of architects.
In 1997 he became advisor to the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences.
