Career
After acting in commercials as a child, Rutherford landed a role in the 2002 film Life or Something Like lieutenant, followed by a role in the 2002 film Bundy and in a small television role in the 2002 Star Trek: Enterprise episode Marauders. His music career with The Neighbourhood began in 2012 with their first song "Female Robbery" which was followed by "Sweater Weather". "Sweater Weather" reached number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in June 2013.
Since Rutherford was 17 he was in an on-off again relationship with singer Anabel Englund until 2014.
He has a tattoo with the name "Annie" as a tribute to Englund. In December 2014, Rutherford was arrested at New Jersey"s Newark Liberty International Airport for drug possession after TSA agents spotted him trying to discard a small bag of marijuana.
