Career

Pastor Houston Street Church, Sherman, Texas, 1900-1902 and 1905-1906, First Church, Dallas, 1902-1905, San Angelo, 1906-1912, College Church, Abilene, 1912-1917, also president Abilene Christian College, 1912-1924. Built up college from non-accredited academic to standard college with more than 700 students, now president emeritus. Pastor of the South Side Church, Fort Worth, Texas, 1924, Fifth Avnue Church, Corsicana, Texas, 1925-1927, Grove Avenue Church, San Antonio, 1927-1946.

Special lecturer, Harding College, since 1949. Has conducted evangelistic campaigns in 25 states and in Washington, District of Columbia. A leader in prohibition campaign in Texas for 25 years.
