Jim W. Opolot holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from University of London and holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). He is Associate of Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB), Member of Institute for the Management of Information Systems (MIMIS), Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM), and in May 1998 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA) in the United Kingdom.
He has a wealth of experience in the banking and financial Industry. He started his career as economics and capital markets researcher for the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS). He joined Barclays bank working with UK risk management and later on worked with Natwest Bank at NatWest capital markets. He has been a Consultant to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and has an excellent understanding of the world of finance.
