Career
Jitsuzo Tokuyasu served with several newspapers including Osaka Jiji Shimpo, Osaka Shimpo, Tokyo Yukan (evening paper) and Tokyo Tsushin. Founded and became president of Unyu (Transportation), a monthly periodical (1920), founded and became president of Unyu Tsushin (Transportation Communications) a daily newspaper (1926) which he later renamed Unyu Tsushin (Transportation News).
Served successively (from 1929) as member and chairman of Shiba Ward Assembly, Tokyo, chairman of Administrative Committee of Minato Ward, Tokyo, member of Tokyo Municipal Assembly, chairman of Shiba Ward Welfare Commission, chairman of Shiba Ward Price Inspection Commission, chairman of Shiba Ward Property Tax Inspection Commission and Increased Income Tax Commission and member and chairman of Minato Ward Assembly.
Elected twice to House of Representatives (1952 and 1953). Served also as secretary and counselor of Tottori Frefectural Chapter of Liberal Party.
