In 1977, Vyacheslav Dmitrievich graduated from the Voronezh Polytechnic Institute (now Voronezh State Technical University) with a degree in Radio Engineering, a few years later, in 1993, finished studying at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute.
Vyacheslav Dmitrievich served in various capacities in Voronezh (Research Institute of Communications, Voronezh State University and others, 1977-1987) and Moscow (head of the literary part of the Experimental Theater led by V. Spesivtsev, the head of the editorial office of the magazine "Continent", 1988-1997). Since 1997, he worked as the head of the department of culture, contemporary problems and local history, since 2006, executive secretary of the journal "Lifting".
He is the author of the book "The Russian Songwriter: Articles on Contemporary Literature" (Voronezh, 2008), as well as several articles (mainly in the journal "Lifting") on the current literary and theatrical process.Took part in a scientific conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of A.I. Solzhenitsyn (Moscow, 2008).
Vyacheslav Dmitrievich is one of the founders of the Voronezh literary club "LIK" (late 1980s), as well as the club "Philosophical Conversations" with the editorial board of the journal "Lifting" (1998-2003).
Vyacheslav Dmitrievich Lyutoy is married to a Russian musicologist, poetess, literary critic Rimma Viktorovna Lyutaya.
